The Family & Team of John Wine

Dear Guests,

I am Ángeles, Mother, Grandmother and Wife of John. This house where we were very happy was our retirement project. As my husband is no longer with us, my new project is with my daughters Eva and Soraya, where we decided to create this accommodation so that it would continue to generate happiness and love to whoever visited it. That's why La Casa de John Wine was born.

Where does the name of the house come from? John's original name is spelled Juan. In the United States where Eva lives, when Juan would come to visit, he always introduced himself as John Wine. As his pronunciation was not good, friends and family thought he was referring to the actor John Wayne and my husband very graciously clarified: "no, not the one with the guns, I like wine, I'm John Wine!" which would make everyone laugh. So, with all our love, the name is a tribute to his memory.

Juan (John Wine) was in love with Bornos, he enjoyed walking its streets, chatting with its people and always complimenting the town with his phrase "How beautiful Bornos is and all its surroundings!"
